Location
Dysart is located approximately 245 kilometres south west of Mackay, 340 kilometres north west of Rockhampton, in central Queensland and is approximately 36 kilometres off the Fitzroy Development Road. It is approximately 1000km north north-west of Brisbane. The town of Dysart covers an area of 4,61 km2 and is situated within the Isaac regional shire which covers an area of 18, 370 km2.
